Torre campanario de planta cuadrada, realizada en sillería, de seis cuerpos, en los dos últimos se ubican las campanas.
"Lo que se sabe a ciencia cierta es que la manufactura del campanario casi 28 metros de altura, en su campanario pertenece a dos fases con "estilos muy diferenciados", encontrándose más afectada la zona más alta, al ser de muros más finos y exponerse continuamente a las inclemencias del tiempo a tremenda altura, "sin edificios alrededor que sirvan de protección"
En este nivel del campanario más moderno se observan restos de maquinaria como el motor y piezas antiguas amontonadas, que lucen junto a las de acero galvanizado "que garantizará la perdurabilidad". Aunque no será de acero precisamente el diseño del yugo de la campana, que se construirá a imagen del de la principal parroquia de la diócesis de Cádiz, de la mismísima Catedral, que vemos de frente desde esta altura de la iglesia, entre las otras maravillosas vistas que se otean a través de sus arcos. Así, el nuevo sistema del que se dotarán las cuatro campanas que acaban de marcharse a Murcia "se preparará para girar, pero no para el volteo, cuyo sistema se iba de precio, aunque podrá hacerse en un futuro".
El nuevo sistema se controlará a través del electromazo digital por control electrónico, "que dirigirá el golpe para que suenen según lo programado". Muy atrás quedaron las cuerdas que discurrían escaleras arriba para que el párroco tocara sin subir tantos peldaños, y cuya estructura todavía permanece en las oquedades que recorren los tramos de las viejas escaleras. Escaleras que serán sustituidas en la zona nueva por otras de madera con el fin "de no romper el conjunto armónico".
La de la planta que corona el edificio, una campana fechada del año 1952 y que adopta el nombre del templo, San Agustín; y las otras de la primera planta del campanario, dos de ellas fechadas del mismo año, denominadas de Nuestra Señora de la Consolación y Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo, y una última, la más antigua, de 1850, que se llama de San José. Un conjunto que aunque renovado, permanecerá como patrimonio reservado, pues "no se contemplan las visitas".
Desde ahí arriba también se otea el patio del antiguo y abandonado Instituto Santa María del Rosario (que cerró en 2006), que hasta la desamortización de Mendizábal perteneció a la comunidad de agustinos.
Así, junto a la obra estructural de su campanario, se acometerán obras de limpieza y pintura de su fachada, así como de su portada de mármol y portones de madera.
Precisamente esta portada de 1647 está considerada como una de las más conseguidas de la arquitectura manierista gaditana.
Este edificio, que en total ocupa unos 800 metros cuadrados, fue en origen el Convento de San Agustín.

Square bell tower, made of ashlar, with six sections, the last two housing the bells.
"What is known for certain is that the manufacture of the bell tower, almost 28 meters high, belongs to two phases with "very distinct styles." The highest area is more affected, as it has thinner walls and is continually exposed to the elements at such a tremendous height, "without surrounding buildings to serve as protection."
At this level of the more modern bell tower, remains of machinery such as the engine and old parts are piled up, which shine alongside the galvanized steel "that will guarantee its durability." Although the design of the bell's yoke will not be made of steel, it will be built in the image of that of the main parish of the Diocese of Cádiz, the Cathedral itself, which we see from this height of the church, among the other wonderful views that can be seen through its arches. Thus, the new system that will equip the four bells that have just left for Murcia "will be prepared to rotate, but not for the "flip, whose system was expensive, although it may be done in the future."
The new system will be controlled by an electronically controlled digital hammer, "which will direct the strike so that the bells ring as programmed." Long gone are the ropes that ran up the stairs so the priest could play without climbing so many steps, and whose structure still remains in the hollows that run through the flights of the old stairs. These stairs will be replaced in the new area with wooden ones in order "not to disrupt the harmonious whole."
The one on the floor that crowns the building features a bell dated 1952 and which bears the name of the church, San Agustín; and the others on the first floor of the bell tower, two of them dated the same year, named Our Lady of Consolation and Our Lady of Good Counsel, and a final, oldest one, from 1850, called San José. Although renovated, this set will remain a reserved heritage site, as "visits are not contemplated."
From up there, you can also look out over the courtyard of the old and abandoned Santa María del Rosario Institute (which closed in 2006), which belonged to the Augustinian community until the Mendizábal confiscation.
Thus, in addition to the structural work on its bell tower, cleaning and painting will be undertaken on its façade, as well as its marble entrance and wooden gates.
This 1647 façade is considered one of the most successful examples of Cadiz Mannerist architecture.
