History

Pas de la Casa Sector .
Grandvalira was founded in the winter of 2003 as a result of the merger of Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu El Tarter (founded in 1964). In 2007, Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding, which took place in 1956 when Francesc Viladomat installed the first ski lift at the foot of Coll Blanc, which could carry 450 skiers per hour. 'Telesquís Viladomat' was later absorbed by Saetde (Hble. Comu d'Encamp, Albareda, Villeró, Delsol, among others). Thus, the resort expanded towards the Cirque de Pessons and towards the Cortals d'Encamp area. In the 2019-2020 season, the new Peretol sector was created.

The first artificial snow cannons were installed in 1985 at the Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig ski resort and in 1997 the first six-seater detachable chairlift in the Pyrenees ."
