Cadillac Place was closed until noon Monday as a precautionary measure after an early morning security threat, according to Michigan State Police.
An “unknown male” allegedly entered the building on the 3000 block of West Grand Boulevard at about 3:25 a.m. Monday and made statements that concerned a security officer, who contacted state police.
Lt. Mike Shaw declined to discuss the nature of the concerning behavior. The man was not arrested; state police are piecing together exactly what happened.
Michigan State Police troopers and K-9s swept the building and have declared the situation all-clear. So as to allow “building operation to return to normal,” Cadillac Place remained closed until noon.
Cadillac Place is a state office building owned by the Michigan Strategic Fund.
