"La Casa del Escudo se encuentra en la Calle Carrera nº 19 de la localidad de Marchena., provincia de Sevilla.

Casa señorial con portada de ladrillo dintelada flanqueada por pilastras y con escudo y cimera en la clave. El amplio balcón que se apoya sobre la cornisa posee una interesante baranda de hierro.

En su interior, el patio presenta las características propias de la arquitectura domestica de principios del siglo XVII con doble galería.

La inferior de arcos de medio punto con ménsulas de ladrillo en las claves, sobre columnas de orden toscazo; la superior, actualmente cegada posee capiteles de “castañuelas”: Las enjutas quedan ornamentadas con triángulos realizados en ladrillo.
Existe documento de encargo de construcción de un patio, en 1600, en la misma situación y características de esta vivienda.
Esta casa fue reformada en el siglo XVIII en su fachada, sin modificar su estructura primitiva".

"The House of the Shield is located at Calle Carrera nº 19 in the town of Marchena, province of Seville.

Stately house with a lintel brick doorway flanked by pilasters and with a shield and crest in the keystone. The large balcony that rests on the cornice has an interesting iron railing.

Inside, the patio presents the characteristics of domestic architecture from the early 17th century with a double gallery.

The lower one has semicircular arches with brick corbels in the keys, on columns of the Tuscan order; The upper one, currently blinded, has “castanet” capitals: The spandrels are ornamented with triangles made of brick.
There is a document commissioning the construction of a patio, in 1600, in the same situation and characteristics of this house.
This house was renovated in the 18th century on its façade, without modifying its primitive structure."
