KBTC 12 is Tacoma's Public Broadcasting Station. While not as famous as it's Seattle counterpart, KCTS 9, it has produced some quality programs. The station is managed by Bates Technical College and is located at 2320 S. 19th Street.
Following are a few examples of the station's locally produced programs:
Full Focus: Full Focus is a weekly documentary giving an in depth look at the people and places that have shaped Western Washington's communities.
Washington Wine: World Class: A documentary telling the story of the state’s wine industry, the nation's 2nd largest producer of premium wines.
For the Love of Fabrics: World’s Fair of Quilts: This installment of a regularly produced series is airing nationwide.
Trail’s End: Lewis and Clark in Washington: This documentary details the corp's time in Washington and how their visit impacted, and is still impacting the region today.
Hidden Hong Kong: A travel documentary about the current changes in Hong Kong and the everyday life of its citizens.
