Fire Station 25 is a modern brick building, on the south side of SW 59th a few blocks east of May Avenue. There are three large equipment bays on the west side, and an office complex on the east. The bay doors are painted a bright red, which really stands out from the tan brick and white roof.
This facility is also a "Safe Place" haven; the sign indicating this is the front (south) side of the building. From the Safe Place website: "Safe Place is a national youth outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 18 (up to 21 years of age in some communities) in need of immediate help and safety. As a collaborative community prevention initiative, Safe Place designates businesses and organizations as Safe Place locations, making help readily available to youth in communities across the country. Safe Place locations include: libraries, YMCAs, fire stations, public buses, various businesses, and social service facilities. Safe Place provides access to immediate help and supportive resources for youth in need."
