Steak 'n Shake in general has not fared well over the past couple of decades. While they do have a drive thru, the days of table service appear to be long past, and today, you'll order at one of the electronic kiosks up front, providing your name for them to call when your food is ready. The service behind the counter is great, but corporate has installed a QR code scanner by the self-serve drink station. You have to hold your receipt under the scanner and then move quickly to fill up your cup, as you only have so much time. This probably won't end well.
It's mostly table seating, with a hardback bench in front of the counter, and a couple of tables and booths in the back. There's some bar seating up front, and if you're planning on staying awhile to use the free wi-fi, there are a couple of outlets.
