The Medici Tower was built in the 14th century with a lookout function. Called "Medici" due to the presence of the famous Florentine Medici family, who in the 16th century were feudal lords of the small village, it is characterized by the protruding apparatus consisting of corbels.and machicolations supported by a dense series of stone brackets and ends with a battlement at the top. In the center instead opens the rectangular entrance framed in stone and a loophole, while in the upper part of the tower you can see a small window.
Almost completely collapsed during the earthquake that hit Abruzzo in 2009, today the Torre Medicea di Santo Stefano di Sessanio has been completely rebuilt using the original recovered material and leaving its soul intact.
