At Cantacuzino Castle, a silhouette art sculpture is used for love padlocks. The castle is regularly rented out for weddings, so it is only natural that a love padlock is also placed. There are about 70 of them in the double red heart.
"The work presents two hearts combined into one, symbolizing the union of two souls. Two entities: on the outside is the protective entity, which, through its lines, emanates a rather androgenic character and, on the inside, there is a more elegant, almost wave-like shape, which symbolizes the sensitive partner, delicacy of the soul. People from everywhere are welcome at Cantacuzino Castle to seal their love by placing a padlock in the heart of the Castle, together with their loved one."
Cantacuzino Castle, built in 1911, was the hunting lodge of the former prince and minister Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino.
The castle and park are now open to the public with art exhibitions and events. It also served as the setting for the Netflix series "Wednesday".
The park around the castle has many sculptures, playgrounds, ziplines and other exciting things.
