The letters RASNOV are located on a mountain outside the Râsnov Fortress wall. In fact, you can stand close to them when visiting the fortress, but here they are not possible to read. Fortunately, you can see the small lamps that are placed above each letter, so that they are also visible in the dark.
Since the letters are on a very steep mountainside, it must be a little difficult to change the bulbs in the lamps.
When walking around the city of Râsnov, they letters are very clear.
Râsnov is a town in Brasov County, Transylvania, Romania with a population of 15,920 as of 2021.
Râsnov Fortress were part of a defending system of the Transylvanian places that were exposed to invaders’ attacks. It was part of a refuge for the inhabitants of the Transylvanian villages who were exposed to invasions from outside.
