If you want to enter the Curonian Spit National Park with a motorized
vehicle, you have to pay a fee at the control post. Next to the control post
is a board that shows eight so-called "Partner Cities" of
Neringa, a municipality on the Curonian Spit. It seems that there used to be
nine of them, but one was covered with a white square. The
Lithuanian
Wikipedia website for Neringa lists seven sister cities. Some of them
are on the board, others are not (yet) and some on the board are not on the
Wikipedia website.
