L'église saint Pierre du puy à été bâtie au XIIIe siecle sur l'emplacement d'un "enclos ecclesial" déjà mentionné au XIe siècle et sans doute sur un lieu de culte bien antérieur (gaulois ou romain). A cette époque ce lieu s'appelait salis. Ce toponyme pourrait venir de "sala" qui désigne une maison forte. La présence à proximité, de deux souterrains médiévaux et de silos indique qu'un groupement de population important vivait ici à l'époque medievale. L'église de st Pierre du puy figure sur la carte du diocèse d'albi (1642)
The church of Saint Pierre du Puy was built in the 13th century on the site of an "ecclesial enclosure" already mentioned in the 11th century and undoubtedly on a much earlier place of worship (Gallic or Roman). At that time this place was called Salis. This toponym could come from “sala” which designates a strong house. The nearby presence of two medieval underground passages and silos indicates that a large population group lived here in medieval times. The church of St Pierre du Puy appears on the map of the diocese of Albi (1642)
