This monumental stairway is composed of six flights of 50 steps each and it's surrounded by beautiful gardens and lots of fountains. It's the oficial gateway to the memorial complex but not many people are actually willing to climb up 300 steps so usually visitors arrive straight to the top, where there is a direct entrance.
Most tours of Ashgabat will make a stop here, dropping the visitors on the top and collecting them by Bikrova street.
