The bod Cafe Bar is located on Longton Road in Trentham, was the third bod café bar opened by the Staffordshire based Titanic Brewery.
The building dates back to 1843. It was the Trentham Police Station designed by Sir Charles Barry, and funded by the Duke of Sutherland.
In 1930 it became the District Bank, until 1970 when it was the NatWest bank until its closure in 2017.
Titanic Brewery bought the building and gave it a £30k makeover. It re-opened as bod Trentham in 2019.
Some of the original features can still be seen, with metal bars between doorways and the original bank vault still in place.
The old police cell is now a dining space and the old bank vault is a comfortable seating area.
The mural is located in the entrance to the building. It portrays a picture of Sgt David Rose the policeman who was living at this former Trentham Police Station in 1895.
The mural is painted on the brick wall and shows Sgt Rose in his police uniform standing between his two dogs.
A photograph of Sgt David Rose with his dogs can be seen at the following link: (
