"La Iglesia de Santa María de Berducedo o también llamada, Nuestra Señora de la Visitación, Ubicada en la Parroquia de Berducedo, Asturias, se encuentra en el Camino de santiago Primitivo.
Construida en los siglos XIV-XV, esta iglesia ha experimentado reformas y modificaciones a lo largo del Tiempo.

Presenta una planta rectangular con una única nave y cabecera recta, cubierta con bóveda corrida al interior y tejado a tres aguas al exterior.
Destaca por sus dos capillas laterales, un pórtico en el lado oeste y una espadaña del siglo XIX en la fachada oriental.

Junto a la Iglesia se encuentra un tejo, símbolo ancestral de la región. Antiguamente, la Iglesia de Santa María de Berducedo también funcionaba como hospital de peregrinos, brindando refugio y atención a los caminantes que recorrían el Camino de santiago.
Su ubicación estratégica en la ruta del Camino Primitivo lo convierte en un punto de referencia para los peregrinos y en un testimonio histórico de la tradiciín jacobea en Asturias".

"The Church of Santa María de Berducedo or also called, Our Lady of the Visitation, Located in the Parish of Berducedo, Asturias, is located on the Camino de Santiago Primitivo.
Built in the 14th-15th centuries, this church has undergone renovations and modifications over time.

It has a rectangular floor plan with a single nave and straight head, covered with a continuous vault on the inside and a three-sided roof on the outside.
It stands out for its two side chapels, a portico on the west side and a 19th century belfry on the eastern façade.

Next to the Church there is a yew tree, an ancestral symbol of the region. Formerly, the Church of Santa María de Berducedo also functioned as a pilgrim hospital, providing shelter and care to walkers who traveled the Camino de Santiago.
Its strategic location on the Camino Primitivo route makes it a reference point for pilgrims and a historical testimony of the Jacobean tradition in Asturias.
