In het kulturhus is de bibliotheek, de muziekschool, de bioscoop en het theater van Borne gevestigd.

Kulturhus de Bijenkorf
Ze bieden onderdak aan de bibliotheek, de muziekschool, een theater, filmhuis, lokale omroep, Twentehoes en nog veel meer. Ze hebben vergaderruimtes, een gezellig foyercafé en zijn de huiskamer van Borne. Ze zijn hip, vormen een innovatieve mengelmoes, zijn altijd aan het pionieren, en ze groeien! Hun doelgroep? Iedereen!
Of je nou komt om je bibliotheek boek in te leveren, voor een leuke cabaretvoorstelling of voor het muziekcafé: in het Kulturhus is altijd wel wat te doen. Kulturhus de Bijenkorf is namelijk multifunctioneel van opzet. Dit betekent dat er diverse ruimtes zijn waar verenigingen, instellingen of bedrijven gebruik van kunnen maken.
Eind april 2004 werd de gemeente Borne een fantastisch gebouw rijker, een multifunctioneel ontmoetingscentrum, verzamelgebouw: het kloppende hart binnen de sociale, culturele en maatschappelijke structuur van Borne. Een centrum voor educatie, dienstverlening, welzijn, kunst en cultuur. Een gebouw waar uitwisseling plaats vindt, voor en door mensen. Het Kulturhus-concept is experimenteel van aard: innovatief en fris, pionier. Één dingen mogen we wel concluderen: het gebouw lééft.

At the end of April 2004, the municipality of Borne acquired a fantastic building, a multifunctional meeting center, collective building: the beating heart within the social, cultural and community structure of Borne. A center for education, services, welfare, art and culture. A building where exchange takes place, for and by people. The Kulturhus concept is experimental in nature: innovative and fresh, pioneer. We can conclude one thing: the building is alive.
