The cream-painted, rendered brick courthouse has a gabled front and symmetrical flanking ancillary offices with hipped corrugated iron roofs. There is a brick lock-up at the rear of the building. It ceased operation as a Courthouse and Police Station in 1975. MidNorth Council works in close collaboration with the Bulahdelah & District Historical Society to preserve and maintain this historic building as a Museum.
