"Das Bezirksgericht auf dem Kirchenplatz der niederösterreichischen Stadt Horn wird auch als gemaltes Haus oder Sgraffitohaus bezeichnet und steht unter Denkmalschutz (Listeneintrag).

Geschichte
Der Kern des dreigeschoßigen Bauwerks stammt aus dem 4. Viertel des 16. Jahrhunderts. Wappen am Gebäude lassen vermuten, dass die mit 1583 bezeichneten Sgraffitobilder unter Veit Albrecht von Puchheim als Besitzer angebracht wurden. Die zu einem unbekannten Zeitpunkt übermalten Bilder wurden 1899/1900 wiederentdeckt, freigelegt und restauriert, aber auch ergänzt.

Das gemalte Haus ist seit ungefähr 1860 Sitz des Bezirksgerichts Horn. Im Vorfeld der Niederösterreichischen Landesausstellung 2009 wurde das generalsanierte Bezirksgericht von Justizministerin Claudia Bandion-Ortner und Landeshauptmann Erwin Pröll am 30. April 2009 wieder eröffnet.

Beschreibung
Die dem Kirchenplatz in Horn zugewandte Fassade des Bezirksgerichts besitzt in den beiden oberen Stockwerken über die sieben, in unregelmäßigen Abständen angeordneten Fenster. Im Erdgeschoß sind vier Fenster, ein rundbogiges Tor und ein Eingang in ein ehemaliges Geschäftslokal.

Der in der österreichischen Kunsttopographie beschriebene und auf Fotografien abgebildete Attikaaufsatz mit dem Relief eines Horn blasenden Genius auf dem Flachgiebel wurde zu einem unbekannten Zeitpunkt entfernt. Erhalten blieben die schmückenden Vasen sowie die beiden Frauengestalten mit den Attributen der Gerechtigkeit.

Die Sgraffitobilder stellen unter anderem:
den Sündenfall,
die Kreuzigung Christi,
Christus in der Vorhölle,
die Apokalyptischen Reiter,
die Opferung Isaaks
sowie Fortitudo, Justitia und Fortuna dar.

Im Hof befindet sich ein dreigeschoßiger Hofflügel aus der Zeit um 1600 mit Pfeilerarkaden im Erdgeschoß und einer Säulchenloggia im 2. Stock. Außerdem gibt es noch ein querliegendes zweigeschoßiges Hinterhaus. "

The core of the three-story building dates from the 4th quarter of the 16th century. Coats of arms on the building suggest that the sgraffito images dated 1583 were added under the owner Veit Albrecht von Puchheim. Description
The facade of the district court facing the church square in Horn has seven windows arranged at irregular intervals on the two upper floors. On the ground floor there are four windows, a round-arched gate and an entrance to a former business premises.

The attic top described in the Austrian art topography and shown in photographs with the relief of a horn-blowing genius on the flat gable was removed at an unknown time. The decorative vases and the two female figures with the attributes of justice were preserved.

The sgraffito images depict, among other things:

the Crucifixion of Christ,
Christ in Limbo,
the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,
the Sacrifice of Isaac
as well as Fortitudo, Justitia and Fortuna.

In the courtyard there is a three-storey courtyard wing from around 1600 with pillar arcades on the ground floor and a columned loggia on the 2nd floor. There is also a transverse two-storey rear building."

Le noyau du bâtiment de trois étages date du 4e quart du 16e siècle. Les armoiries du bâtiment suggèrent que les images de sgraffites marquées 1583 ont été installées sous Veit Albrecht von Puchheim en tant que propriétaire. Description
La façade du tribunal de grande instance, face à la place de l'église de Horn, comporte sept fenêtres disposées à intervalles irréguliers sur les deux étages supérieurs. Au rez-de-chaussée il y a quatre fenêtres, un portail cintré et une entrée vers un ancien local commercial.

Le toit du grenier décrit dans la topographie artistique autrichienne et représenté sur les photographies avec le relief d'un génie soufflant du cor sur le pignon plat a été retiré à une époque inconnue. Les vases décoratifs et les deux figures féminines avec les attributs de justice ont été conservés.

Les images de sgraffites représentent, entre autres :
la chute de l'homme,
la crucifixion du Christ,
Le Christ dans les limbes,
les Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse,
le sacrifice d'Isaac
ainsi que Fortitudo, Justitia et Fortuna.

Dans la cour se trouve une aile de cour à trois étages datant d'environ 1600 avec des arcades à piliers au rez-de-chaussée et une loggia à colonnes au deuxième étage. Il y a aussi un bâtiment arrière transversal à deux étages."
