historic district is representative of small community Main Streets in the late
1800's and early 1900's. In an apartment above the First National Bank at 111 S.
Main Street Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. His father worked in the
general store across the street from the bank building. Later the Reagan family
lived in the apartment above the general store until they moved to Dixon,
Illinois, which is recognized as Ronald Reagan's boyhood home.
