This beach has far more privacy than many other beaches along the Texas coast because most people are not even aware that it is accessable. I've been here twice and have never seen more than 5 RV or Campers at any time. More may arrive during the day, but most leave by sunset. Shell hunting and fishing are good here too. Ocassionally, surfers may stop to test the waves. The Mexican border and the Rio Grande River are 3 miles South. North a short distance is the Brazos Island State Park.
From Brownsville, follow Highway 4 east for 20 miles until it ends. You have arrived. Bring everything with you, Brownsville is the closest supply point.
