"En la plaza que fue escenario de la floreciente industria del cáñamo se instala una escultura homenaje a los protagonistas de este oficio perdido. Los ‘menaors’ solían ser niños que daban vueltas a la rueda mientras otros confeccionaban las sogas. La escultura tiene en su base dos personajes, el menaor y el filaor, elaborados en bronce y unidos por hilos de agua que recuerdan las cuerdas. Sobre ellos una estructura gigantesca en fibra de vidrio de colores llamativos coronada por varios brazos con manos extendidas."

"In the square that was the scene of the flourishing hemp industry, a sculpture is installed in tribute to the protagonists of this lost trade. The 'menaors' used to be children who turned the wheel while others made the ropes. The sculpture has in its "based on two characters, the menaor and the filaor, made of bronze and joined by threads of water that resemble ropes. Above them is a gigantic structure in brightly colored fiberglass crowned by several arms with outstretched hands."
