This large and well-appoitned park has just about everything. There are not one but two baseball fields on the west edge of the park and a large municipal swimming pool on the northeast corner. The southwest quarter is heavily wooded (you want that shade in the Texas Panhandle) and has quite a bit of children's play equipment throughout that section. I saw at least four clusters of "modern" play equipment, and old-school climbing rigs, merry-go-rounds, and swing sets are found throughout the park. The far southwest corner features an F-4 Phantom on display and a veterans memorial. There is no parking lot, but parking is available along the streets surrounding the park. According to the city web page, city parks are open from 6:00 AM until midnight.
