The village of Upper Largo is situated in the Kingdom of Fife in eastern Scotland a mile inland of the Firth of Forth coast under the shadow of the former volcanic Largo Law. A church has lain on a rise in the village since the 12th century, with the current building being mostly from the 17th century.
The church is cruciform in plan, with the spire and chancel being originally from an older building, the rest of the church has largely been rebuilt. The tower and steeple date from 1628, gifted from Peter Black of Largo House, and sit above the chancel arch.
The square tower rises to a crenellated parapet with pinnacles at each corner. The facetted spire is divided into three stages, the lower having four openings with shutters and a clock attached. There are a series of small openings above with a weathervane on top.
Largo Parish church merged with Newburn Church on October 5th 1985.
