Dans le parc municipal de l'étang des Sources à Mael Carhaix, ient d'être installé un hôtel à insectes. L'étang qui est déjà un milieu favorable à de nombreux insectes, est également bordé de grandes prairies. Ce milieu arboré est varié et offre donc des habitats variés aux insectes entre autres.
