A series of pink marble markers erected by the State DAR, on the stagecoach route called "Boonslick Road", or Boone's Lick Road, or Booneslick Road. Street signs, and markers, carry all three versions of the name along the route

"Hickory Grove was considered to be the most desirable land in Warren County. A large part of this land was owned by a Revolutionary soldier, Thomas Kennedy, who settled there in 1809 and started Kennedy Fort. In 1833, William Dillon applied for a license to keep tavern. The fee was $12.00. The marker is located on the south side of Highway 00 between Highways T and M, approximately 0.5 miles from Highway T." ~
