En los 13 primeros metros se cuenta la historia de los principales acontecimientos y personajes de A Coruña, tallados en los cristales.
De noche el obelisco Millenium se ilumina mediante 142 focos de luz (53.100 vatios). El 1 de enero de 2001 se encendió por primera vez en 12 tramos.”

It was built to commemorate the beginning of the 21st century and has as references the Tower of Hercules and the Cantons Obelisk. It is 46 meters high and is made of steel (2 tons) and 147 rock crystals brought from the Netherlands. It was inaugurated on January 1, 2001.
