The first Wesleyan Methodist church opened in 1858 was constructed of rubble stone walls with rough stone quoins at the corners and openings, corrugated iron gable roof, built in the Colonial vernacular style, a gable roof, semi circular window over front door, timber lintols over rest, stone belfry.
The second church was built in front of the original with an opening service in May 1867. The 1867 church is Victorian Gothic with small buttresses on the side. Built with rubble stone walls with dressed stone quoins at corners and openings, rendered stone work at front.
