"The branch in Kingman, Arizona, in the north of the state, shut earlier the month.
This popular buffet restaurant on 3580 Stockton Hill Road was listed as “permanently closed” on the company's website and Google.
Despite the quick closure, this branch left a message for its diners on the building’s door.
This message, shared in a Facebook post, showed Golden Corral’s appreciation for the location’s visitors.
“Thank you for all your support throughout the years,” the note said.
“We were blessed to be part of this community.
“Unfortunately, we are closing our doors permanently.”
Fans and locals shared their memories of this location on a Facebook post.
"Too bad it closed," one person wrote.""I really enjoyed eating there."
"I don't believe it my son just ate there a few days ago," another commenter said.
This Arizona branch has not been the only Golden Corral spot to leave.
Weeks earlier the chain closed its store in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The restaurant was located in the Volvo Parkway Shopping Center.
This spot had been open for three decades but served diners for the last time in April.
This location closed after the landlord and the Golden Corral franchisee that ran this store could not come to an agreement.
"We appreciate the local community’s support over the years and would welcome the opportunity to serve our Chesapeake guests at our other Tidewater restaurants in Virginia Beach, Newport News and Williamsburg,” a spokesperson for the chain told CBS affiliate WTKR.
Other chains have also waved goodbye to some of their locations this year, The U.S. Sun has previously reported.
TGI Fridays announced that it will close 36 underperforming locations in 12 states this year.
A spokesperson for Golden Corral told The U.S. Sun that the decision to close both of these locations was made by the respective franchise owners.
