[ES] “La escultura de bronce «Ceuta a la gente de la mar» se encuentra en el Paseo de la Marina, a la altura de los Baños Árabes, frente a la bocana del Puerto, en homenaje a la gente de la mar y a los marinos militares, tanto al personal de la Armada como al de la Compañía de Mar del Ejército de Tierra.

El autor de la obra es el escultor ceutí Antonio Romero y representa un marinero de la Armada Española, a tamaño natural, de pie en el cantil del muelle, lanzando un cabo de guía, una actividad típicamente marinera.

La escultura pretende reflejar el estrecho vínculo existente entre Ceuta y la Marina Española y fue inaugurada el 18 de octubre de 2018 por el presidente de la Ciudad Juan Vivas y el Almirante Jefe del Estado Mayor de la Armada Teodoro López-Calderón.”

[EN] “The bronze sculpture "Ceuta to the people of the sea" is located on the Paseo de la Marina, near the Arab Baths, in front of the Port mouth, in homage to the people of the sea and military sailors, both to the personnel of the Navy and that of the Sea Company of the Army.

The author of the work is the Ceuta sculptor Antonio Romero and represents a sailor from the Spanish Navy, life-size, standing on the edge of the dock, throwing a guide rope, a typically seafaring activity.

The sculpture aims to reflect the close link between Ceuta and the Spanish Navy and was inaugurated on October 18, 2018 by the president of the City Juan Vivas and the Chief Admiral of the Navy Teodoro López-Calderón.”
