"Benito Pablo Juárez García (March 21, 1806 - July 8, 1872) was a Zapotec who served five terms (1858–1861 as interim), (1861–1865), (1865–1867), (1867–1871), and (1871–1872), as President of Mexico. During his presidency he outlawed the mistreatment of the Mexican Native Americans.

His philosophy has influenced many Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the United States, who have fought for the human and civil rights of Latinos for almost two centuries.

The sculpture is of Juarez wearing a suit. His right hand is positioned behind him and his left hand is draped over a rectangualr piece. He is looking forward. At the base it reads; ""Entre las naciones como entre los individuos. El repeo al derecho ajeno es la paz. Lic Benito Juarez Garcia Benemerito de las America, 1806-1872. marzo del 2003. The other side read: En agreadecimeito a quienes hicieron este homenje; Lic Jose Murat Casab Gobernador de Oaxaca, Mexico. Marquez Brothers International Inc. El Mexicano."
