Silver City was about two miles north of present-day Tuttle and was an important stop on the Chisholm Trail. The town was relocated when the first railroad through the area (in 1892) went through Minco (seven miles to the west) - the residents of Silver City moved their buildings to Minco, greatly expanding that town.
About all that remains of Silver City is this immaculately-maintained cemetery, which was listed on the NRHP in 2008. An information board outside the fence lists every burial here. As is typical for a cemetery, visiting hours are dawn to dusk.
