"Tillsonburg" was a 1971 release by the Canadian folk legend Stompin' Tom Connors, from his album "My Stompin' Grounds".

The song describes Tom working getting a job in a local tobacco field, a major crop in the Tillsonburg area. He finds the bunkhouse conditions less than desirable and then working in the tobacco fields back breaking, bending over to pick tobacco plants (humourously expecting "cigarette trees"). With the low pay (7 bucks a day) he gets out of the tobacco picking quickly when he gets the chance "I was down the highway and over the hill from Tillsonburg."

The song is kind of ironic as Stompin' Tom was known as a heavy smoker, smoking up to 100 cigarettes a day per wikipedia!
