"In Corcoya, a small district of Badolatosa (Seville), located about 6 km from it, is the Fuensanta hermitage, surrounded by a place of great beauty. At the foot of this construction is the fountain that gives it its name, also known as Fuente de la Ermita.
It consists of a small spring that drains the water stored in a small block of permeable limestone that floats on impermeable Triassic clays and marls. It arises in the area of ??intersection of the phreatic surface and the ground. There is no flow data for this spring, its flow, in any case, does not exceed 0.2 l/s. There is also no data on the quality of the water drained by it. Very close to the spring we can find the plaster tunnel of the Pontón stream, a true geological jewel. In the surroundings of the spring, in addition to the olive tree, you can find other types of species such as poplar trees, pines, black and white poplars along with cattails, reeds, reeds or eucalyptus, the latter so typical of the banks of the Genil River. In addition, you can find in the scrubland area a large number of small shrubs and species of Mediterranean vegetation, among which mastic and rosemary stand out."
