A tree trunk supports an eagle, a young beaver, and a squirrel. This is one of several carved wooden statues of wildlife by Pete Ryan that are near the entrance to the Douglas Fir Resort and Chalets on Banff’s Tunnel Mountain. A signature at the base reads, “Pete Ryan 2002”.

Pete Ryan (1950-2021) was a well-known, very prolific chainsaw carver based in Hope, BC. (visit link)
