This is one of several carved wooden statues of wildlife near the entrance to the Douglas Fir Resort and Chalets on Banff’s Tunnel Mountain. A signature beneath the raven’s tail reads “Pete Ryan 2008 Hope, BC”.

Pete Ryan (1950-2021) was a well-known, very prolific chainsaw carver based in Hope, BC. (visit link)
