The sculpture of a deer is located in the Stadsparken (the City Park) in an area with trees.
The sculpture is life-size and placed on a small stone plinth surrounded by paving stones. It has been placed in the park in 1953.
The beautiful and lifelike deer was created by sculptor Arvid Knöppel and made of bronze.
Arvid Knöppel (1892-1970) was a Swedish sculptor who is known for his many sculptures of animals. Arvid Knöppel himself built a small zoo where he could study the Nordic animals and his many animal sculptures can be seen in several places in Sweden. (
