Established by the Rotary Club of Banff in 1978, this playground has been regularly updated since then. Fundraising spearheaded by the Rotary Club is anticipated to lead to a new playground equipment and additional facilities by the end of 2024.
The current playground (2023) was built in 1992 and refurbished in 2005. It is recommended for children aged 2 to 5, and has a pea gravel surface, slides, swings, and a climbing structure. There is parking next to the playground on Cougar Street.
A Play Box, containing active toys like skipping ropes and hula hoops, is available at this site for use of local residents while in the playground and adjoining park. (
