The Catholic filial church of St. Martin in Riem is a hall building with a gabled roof and façade tower with an octagonal bell storey and pointed spire.
The core of the Romanesque nave dates back to the 12th century, in the 16th century St Martin's was given a Romanesque-style tower with a shingle-covered onion dome.
In 1738, the now dilapidated church was partially demolished and rebuilt on a larger scale, the tower was raised and given a new onion dome. In 1893, the St. Martin's branch church was remodelled again, and from 1946 to 1948 the church, which had been badly damaged in the war, was repaired and redesigned.
