"On the occasion of the centenary of Platero y Yo, an open-air sculptural museum was created that integrates pieces inspired by different chapters of the universal work of Juan Ramón, as well as the statues of Juan Ramón and Zenobia that were already erected in the squares of the chapter and the Marquis.
On the occasion of the Year of Silversmiths, different authors put the best of their artistic ability to create this permanent tribute to the poet and his universal character.
Located next to the apse of the church of the Monastery of Santa Clara and inspired by chapter LV of Platero y Yo in which Juan Ramón questions why an animal like the donkey does not have an appropriate definition in the dictionary when it is "so intellectual, friend of the old man and the child, of the stream and the butterfly...". Its author Víctor Pulido used metal sheets converted into strokes of letters and names to give shape to Platero's unmistakable volumes."
