"The Alameda de Santiago de Compostela is the natural meeting point between what was rural and is now urban. And the Herradura, the walk that makes the round around the mountain, where oaks of immemorial aspect -carballos in Galician-, shelter the hermitage of Santa Susana that rises in the place of a Celtic castro.

And at the bottom of this old Carballeira, and next to walks and paths, and in the shade of lemon, banana and palm trees, there is room for camellias and poets; eternal poets, fleeting camellias.

And although the traveler does not always feel like a pilgrim, the camellias of Compostela cannot be separated from the veneration: Camellias jacobeas."
