The Acton Nature Center of Hood County is open to anyone who enjoys the peace and quiet of nature at its finest. The Nature Center features trails through both open and wooded areas and a butterfly / hummingbird garden. There are two bird watching locations here. One of these is near the butterfly garden. This one is on a trail that leads visitors north from the parking area. This large shelter provides a bench and a long rectangular port that provides a fine view of the birds and wildlife that are abundant here. This bird blind is at the end of a packed earth trail that is well maintained but not handicap accessible.
