The Black Family Cemetery is on the east side of US 281, about four miles southwest of Hico. The cemetery encompasses a large plot; the entry gate is at the northwest corner and the grave sites are on the south end. There are, as one might expect, several Black graves here. There are about seventy-five memorials here.
