"La Iglesia de San Pedro Mártir de Verona formaba parte de un antiguo convento dominico fundado en 1575. El templo sólo conservó los muros exteriores, la espadaña y dos portadas: la de San Pedro y la de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, ambas manieristas, datables en torno a 1630, si bien la primera ostenta elementos barrocos añadidos en 1721 bajo la dirección de Leonardo Antonio de Castro. El edificio recientemente restaurado tiene planta de cruz latina, donde destacan elementos como la nave central, con bóvedas realizadas en madera, y el crucero. Igualmente la obra ha permitido la recuperación de la fachada principal, el adecentamiento de los triforios ciegos sobre las naves laterales y la zona de columbarios, presidida por la talla de Juan Pablo II realizada por el artista local Francisco Javier López del Espino.
La capilla de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno forma parte del templo anejo de San Pedro Mártir. El espacio principal, y más antiguo, cumple la función de camarín de la imagen titular, fue realizado por Vicente del Castillo y el cantero Andrés Cordón en 1758, formando un espacio circular de estilo neoclásico. En su interior contiene un baldaquino, que cobija la imagen de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno. El segundo espacio se realizó hacia 1838 coincidiendo con el cierre del templo de San Pedro Mártir y presenta semejante disposición arquitectónica que el camarín, salvo en la cúpula, rebajada con bandas radiales muy planas. En el aspecto escultórico destacan la imagen de Nuestro Padre Jesús de Nazareno, realizada en el siglo XVI, de rasgos góticos y la urna del Santo Entierro realizada por Pedro de Mena y Gutiérrez en 1769, que contiene un Cristo yacente, obra de Miguel de Verdiguier del año 1774."

"The Church of Saint Peter the Martyr of Verona was part of an old Dominican convent founded in 1575. The temple only preserved the exterior walls, the belfry and two doorways: that of Saint Peter and that of Our Lady of the Rosary, both Mannerist, datable around 1630, although the first has baroque elements added in 1721 under the direction of Leonardo Antonio de Castro. The recently restored building has a Latin cross plan, where elements such as the central nave, with vaults made of wood, and the Likewise, the work has allowed the recovery of the main façade, the cleaning of the blind triforiums on the side naves and the columbarium area, presided over by the carving of John Paul II made by the local artist Francisco Javier López del Espino.
The chapel of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno is part of the annexed temple of San Pedro Mártir. The main and oldest space serves as the dressing room for the titular image. It was made by Vicente del Castillo and the stonemason Andrés Cordón in 1758, forming a circular space in a neoclassical style. Inside it contains a canopy, which shelters the image of Our Father Jesus of the Nazarene. The second space was built around 1838, coinciding with the closing of the temple of San Pedro Mártir and has a similar architectural layout as the dressing room, except for the dome, which is lowered with very flat radial bands. In the sculptural aspect, the image of Our Father Jesus of Nazarene stands out, made in the 16th century, with Gothic features, and the urn of the Holy Burial made by Pedro de Mena y Gutiérrez in 1769, which contains a recumbent Christ, the work of Miguel de Verdiguier. of the year 1774."
