The plaque says, "The first Presbyterian Church of Everett meets here. It was established in February 1892.
In 1897 the wood frame steepled church was moved from Maple Street between Hewitt and Pacific to this location on the corner of Rockefeller and Wall. The land was provided by Henry Hewitt's Everett Land Company.
In 1910 the present sanctuary replaced the original structure. It was dedicated on September 11, 1910 by Reverend Edward McLeod.
The large bell on display in front of the church was shipped around the horn for the original church building.
During the ministry of Dr. Mortimer Spocker, The Steeple, Westminster Hall, and the Educational Wing were added.
First Presbyterian is the oldest church in the city of Everett.
Dedicated in Memory of Roy Mackenzie by his family and friends."
