Double-leaf wooden door with smaller openings to facilitate its use, the bronze rivets make it very striking, although you have to look at the upper corners of the two smaller doors, which although the door in general is of Gothic architecture, These cuts are of Gothic Mudejar architecture.

"The parish Church of Santa Ana will be the first Christian temple erected in Archidona after Don Pedro Girón conquered it from the Arabs in the year 1462.

Its elevated location several meters above a small square, “La Plaza de la Iglesia”, gives it a packaging and visual dominance that enhances its spiritual strength. The temple was built between the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century, possibly on an old mosque that was later a hermitage.

On the outside of the building, resting on one of the sides of the head, its original triangular tower deserves special attention, covered by a spire of glazed tiles, arranged like scales.

The building began to be built in the flamboyant Gothic style, then having a single nave, whose polygonal head is covered by a ribbed vault. This part is the only one preserved from the early Church, which appears elevated on steps. At the end of the 19th century, two side naves were added and the central nave was raised. Possibly in said renovation, an old wooden roof, from the end of the 17th century, would be replaced by the work roof visible today. At the foot, the choir on a barrel vault has an 18th century organ, restored in the 20th century. The cover is from the last third of the 17th century.

The large altarpiece of the main altar, from the mid-18th century, is made of carved wood. It constitutes a display of fragile and rich architecture that evokes theatrical scenery through its composition. The sculptural group of Saint Anne with the Virgin Girl, attributed to the 16th century, presides over this altarpiece, responding to the dedication of the temple. It is worth highlighting a large sample of sculptures from the Convent of Santo Domingo and the missing Ermita de la Columna.

Anecdotally, forming part of one of the side altarpieces, it is worth mentioning the busts of San Zenón and Santa Palidata, mentioned in an 18th century document as the primitive patrons of the Villa."
