The location of 105 West Main Street in Mesa once housed the Leseur and Gibbons Grocery and Dry Goods Co. It burned down and was replaced in 1924 by the Nile movie theater. The Nile was the most modern movie theater in the Phoenix area. It had air conditioning. Blocks of ice were placed in the back of the theater and air was blown across the ice and was ducted to each seat. The theater operated until 1951. It housed several other businesses until being renovated in 2018.
