High above the Mississippi River this border crossing is on the historic Old Chain of Rocks bridge, the most famous Mississippi crossing on Route 66.

The Old Chain of Rocks bridge is now a pedestrian/bicycle bridge and is open from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. The border is marked with Route 66 signs painted on the roadway and a Route 66 bicycle rack.
