"It dates back to the year 1579, when Don Gil Bartolomé was Mayor of this Villa. The building currently has two entrances at different levels that correspond to the orography of the land and consists of a single bay. It is made of ashlar walls with profuse ornamentation. The most outstanding elements include the three large semicircular arches on the ground floor, two large stone corbels in the shape of lions, and three shields, as well as its lintel windows and a frieze engraved with a description in which the date of its construction is recorded.
It is assumed that it was built for public use and intended for artisan trades, although over the years its use has been very varied. Currently, it has been restored to serve as a museum and exhibition hall.
