Hundreds of love locks adorn the fence on the north side of Robb Elementary.

These love locks are a tangible way for visitors to remember and honor the 21 victims of the mass shooting here at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022. In addition, the husband of one of the slain teachers died 48 hours later after placing flowers at his wife's memorial. In the town square, downtown Uvalde, there is a beautiful fountain surrounded by crosses to honor the victims. Each of the 19 students and 2 teachers have a mural in the downtown area, painted to represent what their life was like.
The fence with the love locks spans about 5' high and 30' long, and is on the north side of the school, on Geraldine St. At the corner of Geraldine and Old Carrizo Rd. is another memorial with a cross for each of the 21 victims.
