Kerala Kathakali Centre is a must visit place to anyone coming to Kochi. Everyday there are two performances of Kathakali, a traditional form of dance characteristic from this region of India.

Besides Kathakali - which is really the main thing here - there are performances of Indian martial arts, traditional music and other forms of dance. Most of the tickets cost 500 Rupees.

The location is very central. The venue is a bit obsolete and could be improved. Angles of observation of the stage are far from perfect.

People are welcomed to come earlier and observe the preparation and make up techniques used by the dancers.
